Job Description:

The Technical Business Analyst in Equifax Mortgage Services is a key Functional role supporting business growth by developing new cutting edge products, solutions and platforms while maintaining high standards of quality in a fast-paced Agile/SCRUM development environment that has a tremendous impact on the success of the company. 

This role is responsible for managing customer (internal and external) relationships and ensuring success of the projects. The Business Analyst will apply a methodical approach in identifying internal and external customer needs, developing optimal business solutions, eliciting and prioritizing business requirements, and translating business requirements into functional and technical specifications. The Business Analyst will own their projects and work as a SCRUM Master/Product Manager for their projects.  Candidate will collaborate with the right cross-functional stakeholders from Product, Data, Sales, Support and Operations teams, drive faster time to market and control change.

What You'll Do


  • Maintain key relationships with our core customers on projects.

  • Identify client requirements and issues by interviewing customers; analyzing operations; determining project scope; develop technical requirement specifications for the Development Teams; documenting and verifying results.

  • Work along with development managers, responsible for Sprint and Release planning to commit and deliver.

  • Own requirements across SDLC and production.

  • Participate in problem analysis, resolution and triage application issues.

  • Diagnose data related problems.

  • Develop problem solutions by describing operational issues/requirements; study system capabilities; analyze alternative solutions; prepare detailed system specifications; Verify development work by completing tests.

  • Active Role in System incident management and Change Process.

  • Prepare customers to use system by conducting training.

  • Prepare documentation for the Support resources on new functionality and supporting material for analysis of customer issues.

  • Provide clients with ongoing support for applications (including running ad hoc queries on clients’ behalf).

Qualifications


  • 3+ years of experience working in an IT environment including full life-cycle product or solution development.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, IT or Engineering preferred.

  • An open mind to learn and adapt to improving team every day.

  • Strong attention to detail, organization, decision-making, and self-administrative skills.

  • An Agile mindset is absolutely needed. Must be very familiar with the Standard SDLC processes.

  • Experience in a high volume production environment involving many transactions.

  • Customer facing project management and team leadership experience is required. Ability to communicate with senior management, both internally and externally.

  • Must have experience creating and making presentations using PowerPoint to external customers.

Technical Requirements


  • Must be proficient in Microsoft office suite – including PowerPoint, Excel and Word.

  • Must have experience creating Excel spreadsheets to analyze and manipulate data.

  • Must have experience working with databases including using SQL to create queries and validate data.

  • Must have experience to understand XML structures.

Extra Points for the Following


  • Experience with Agile/SCRUM development and Agile management tools like JIRA, RALLY, Version One.

  • Experience with SAAS based architectures.

  • Experience leading analytical resources on projects and providing expertise in business development processes.

  • Knowledge of Credit, Mortgage, Utility, Marketing, Fraud and/or Collections or financial services products.

  • Any development or QC experience.
