The Cognizant Legal team is looking for a Strategic Deals Corporate Counsel who will be focused on a wide range of technology related commercial transactions to join us in our New York, NY; Teaneck, NJ; or Dallas, TX office. In this role, you will be responsible for the full range of legal responsibilities associated with Cognizant’s strategic commercial transactions, including:

  Negotiating large ($50M – $1B) complex contracts (from RFP through execution) against top outside law firms specializing in managed services and third party industry advisors;

  Advising senior leadership on commercial and delivery issues;

  
  


• 
  

  Managing large client disputes.

  
  

The ideal candidate for this role will have all of the following qualifications:

• 
  

  Licensed attorney with a minimum of 8+ years’ expertise in IT outsourcing commercial transactions/strategic deals with both large law firm and in-house experience;

  
  


• 
  

  J.D. from top 30 law school;

  
  


• 
  

  Experience with a diverse range of offerings (BPO, Infrastructure, Application Management, Application Development, etc.), including large acquisitions of assets and large transfers of personnel;

  
  


• 
  

  Deep experience with GDPR, FCPA, OFAC, TUPE, ARD and other regulatory requirements;

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to work efficiently, meet demanding deadlines in a fast-paced environment, prioritize work, and adjust to frequent workload fluctuations across multiple time zones;

  
  


• 
  

  Excellent communication skills;

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to work in a rapidly changing and diverse environment and comfort navigating through ambiguous situations; and
