SCHEDULE: Full-time

STROKE & SEPSIS COORDINATOR (RN)

UP TO $5,000 SIGN-ON BONUS! FOR ELIGIBLE CANDIDATES. MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF 1 YEAR ACUTE CARE EXPERIENCE.

POSITION SUMMARY: The RN Stroke & Sepsis Coordinator utilizes a variety of clinical and leadership skills to educate, consult, and facilitate the service-line team in achieving the highest quality of service and satisfaction for the patients.

JOB DUTIES (including, but not limited to):

* Facilitates the development, implementation and ongoing adherence of stroke & sepsis program protocols and therapies. Ensures the protocols and therapies become the standard of care followed within the facility.

* Collaborates with medical and hospital staff to provide multidisciplinary care to stroke & septic patients. Provides education and clinical expertise to care team, patients, and families.

* Collects and analyzes sepsis program patient data to assist with documentation, coding, clinical care and improved outcomes.

* Participates in rounding and proactively responds to patient needs to improve patient outcomes and positively impact overall patient experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Nursing Diploma or ASN REQUIRED; BSN preferred

* Current FL RN (Registered Nurse) license REQUIRED; or appropriate compact license

* Current BLS (Basic Life Support) REQUIRED

* Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)

* A minimum of 3 years of Acute Care, Critical Care, and/or ED experience with a solid grasp of hemodynamics

* Prior Stroke and/or Sepsis experience is strongly desired, or prior Quality experience with core measure abstraction for sepsis and stroke.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:

Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills, Proficient in Microsoft Office.
