Central Florida Regional Hospital, a 221-bed acute care hospital and Level II Trauma Center, serves the communities of Seminole and west Volusia counties. The hospital provides the only full-service cardiovascular program in Seminole and west Volusia, including open heart surgery, interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, cardiac rehabilitation and comprehensive diagnostic services. Other specialized services include orthopedic and spine care, robotic surgery, acute inpatient medical rehabilitation and complete imaging services. Central Florida Regional Hospital is located 3.6 miles east of I-4 between S.R. 46 and Highway 17-92 in Sanford. Central Florida Regional Hospital is currently looking for an Operating Room Assistant to join our Operating Room team. This position will be PRN, As Needed.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

* Assists RN/Charge RN/LPN with direct patient care, as requested, i.e., moving, aligning, and positioning patient according to established policy, ensuring patient safety and comfort at all times. Assists with patient prep under the supervision of the RN/Charge RN/LPN, as requested. * Provides intra-hospital patient transportation to the OR/holding area, safely and according to policy and procedure.

QUALIFICATIONS

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

* Current BLS or BLS instructor through the American Heart Association
*

Skills: Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills.
