JOB DESCRIPTION

Robert Half is seeking a Senior Accountant - International Reporting to be responsible for accurate and timely consolidation of the international subsidiaries monthly financial results and will perform monthly, quarterly, and annual analysis of these results. This role will have the opportunity to partner with multiple finance teams across the organization, providing them with support and acting as the liaison for day to day communications with the U.S. Corporate headquarters. This role will have the opportunity to present analysis to upper management and will ensure the financial accuracy of these areas in the financial statements and internal reporting.

Specific responsibilities include:


  • Responsible for timely and accurate reporting of financial results and ensure proper consolidation with US parent, including, but not limited to, the recording of financial information and communicating any reporting issues to the international subsidiaries.

  • As part of the process, this position will require a strong understanding of intercompany transactions, revaluation, and translation of financial statements.

  • Collaborates with International teams to ensure consistent practical application of accounting policy across the enterprise.

  • Ability to review and analyze statutory financial statements and recognize the differences between local statutory GAAP and US GAAP financial statements.

  • Ability to evaluate transactions based on accounting policy and technical guidance propose and communicate appropriate accounting treatment to management.

  • Exercise independent judgment and leadership in preparing and delivering recurring and ad hoc reporting on quarterly/annual close activity. Validate results, present findings, and recommend actions to Senior Management.

  • This role requires independent, self-starter innovation applied to business processes, key reports, and cross-collaborative projects. Continuous focus on business process improvement and innovation.

  • Designs and implements processes and identifies key controls to ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley control framework as well as GAAP compliance in analyses and accounting decisions. Provides substantive insight into actual results to support executive management analysis and external reporting.  Participates in an effective internal control SOX environment, including global financial systems, procedures, and processes.

  • Regularly attends US GAAP technical training to ensure compliance.  Maintains up to date knowledge on regulatory and technical changes in US GAAP, internal controls over financial reporting, Robert Half policies and procedures, and SOX compliance.

  • Establishes effective working relationships with both internal and external auditors, managing their expectations and time to create an efficient audit cycle.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance

  • High-level understanding of US GAAP, SEC reporting requirements/guidelines, and Sarbanes-Oxley Act.

  • 5+ years accounting experience including 3+ years public accounting experience preferred.

  • MS Office, including Intermediate/Advanced skills in Excel; Financial ERP experience (Workday Financials a plus).

  • CPA strongly preferred/required

  • Excellent planning, organization, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
