MJ Care was founded over 40 years with a commitment to providing high quality, ethical services to improve the lives of children with exceptional educational needs in a school setting. We need a skilled and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our growing team.

We will rely on you to organize, develop and implement a school-based speech-language pathology program by providing direct and consultative services to children with exceptional educational needs and to educational staff when children require speech-language pathology to benefit from special education. Speech -Language Pathologist  position (4 days/week) covering Leave of absence  from February 9th -May 10th. Must  be willing and have the ability to provide in-person and virtual services.

Essential Functions

• Assist with recommendations for universal classroom modifications.


• Conduct appropriate evaluations of children referred, interpret evaluation findings and prepare written reports of the evaluation.


• Participate in and be a collaborative member of the Individual Education Program (IEP) team

Education

• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a school accredited by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association

Licensure/Certification

• Relevant experience preferred


• State license as a Speech Pathologist required


• Certificate of Clinical Competence (C.C.C.) as awarded by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association required for a supervisory role


• Valid driver’s license in good standing and access to insured car


• Successful completion of a caregiver background check and pre-employment screen
