JOB PURPOSE

The Staffing Specialist will ensure candidates move through the recruiting cycle quickly enough to meet the labor needs of the business. Own and manage the candidate pipeline for high volume production workforce hiring for union and non-union environments including pork processing plant, farm operations, and support operations from the point of application to Day 1 of orientation. Work closely with the employment specialists to successfully onboard candidates.

RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS

- Interview and assess applicants for high volume workforce hiring in a region that manages 30+ requisitions and hires 50+ people weekly; identify best placement for candidates based on prior experience, skill set and priority openings; make job offers to qualified candidates

- Select qualified job applicants or refer them to managers, making hiring recommendations when appropriate

- Ensure an excellent candidate experience throughout the interview and onboarding process

- Schedule onsite interviews with candidates and hiring managers

- Inform job applicants of details such as duties and responsibilities, compensation, benefits, schedules, working conditions, or promotion opportunities

- Review and create job descriptions and post on career site

- Collaborate with the talent acquisition team on increasing applicant flow and contacting passive candidates

- Represent Seaboard Foods at hiring events and job fairs by conveying to potential candidates information about the company, the company's culture, and job opportunities

- Partner with internal business leaders to understand their departmental needs and how support can be provided while delivering high-quality customer service

REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor's degree required

- 1+ years' of experience in human resources, business administration, employment, recruiting or related field preferred

- Bilingual in English and Spanish required

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high-volume staffing

- Must be resourceful, self-sufficient, and able to perform work with minimal supervision

- Must be able to apply sound judgement and non-bias to all candidates

- Microsoft Office suite proficiency

- Ability to interview and assess people in person, by phone and through video technology

- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
