We are currently seeking a Fire Protection Engineer for our Practice in our Bowie, MD office. In this role, you will be responsible for participating in and leading the investigation and analysis of failures including structures, vehicle and wildland fires, explosions, industrial processes, combustion systems, consumer products, appliances and automobiles.

You will be responsible for:

- Planning and executing experimental test programs

- Performing engineering calculations and analysis

- Conducting field work

- Preparing proposals and technical reports, and presenting findings to clients

You will have the following skills and qualifications:

- M.S. or Ph.D. in Fire Protection Engineering

- Strong technical background in thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and combustion

- 3-5 years of work experience related to Fire Protection Engineering

- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

- Hands-on experience in executing experimental programs

- Hands-on experience in fire protection system design, installation, inspection, testing and maintenance is a plus

- Strong desire and ability to tackle a wide variety of problems within and outside direct area of expertise
