Responsible for preparing journal entries and reconciliations for the monthly general ledger close as well as assisting in the preparation and distribution of various financial reports.

Responsibilities
-
Prepare and post journal entries, including the maintenance of standard journal entries.

Meet monthly closing calendar deadlines and communicate any issues on a timely basis.

Prepare general ledger account reconciliations; including bank reconciliations.

Assist with annual external audit including preparing assigned schedules for the annual audit and interim procedures.

Research and resolve accounting errors and discrepancies.
-
Coordinate with other departments to obtain information and/or to record and correct transactions.

Provide analysis for variances in assigned balance sheet and expense accounts.
-
Assist with the preparation, review and filing of sales and use tax documents and returns and tracking of under/over payments.

Qualifications
Required
-
Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience
-
At least 2 years' experience in accounting and finance
-
Strong technical accounting and knowledge of US GAAP

Advanced Excel skills

Time management skills

High attention to detail with excellent organization skills

High level of professionalism with internal and external customers

Proven ability to consistently meet deadlines

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate across organizational functions
