Martin Department of Chemical Engineers seeks a talented Electronics and Instrumentation Technologist, who will be responsible for the computer, electronic, and electrical resources of the department, on the academic and research sides. This position will assist management in developing policies, procedures, budget information, and specifications for software, hardware, and related technical equipment and supplies and represent the department on college and university technical committees. This position will assist faculty and students in designing and implementing computer- and electronics-based components of laboratory experiments and maintain the department's facilities by diagnosing causes of operational problems and system failures, applying corrective repairs, and running a program of preventative maintenance on the various computer and electrical related systems. The Electronics and Instrumentation Technologist is also responsible for coordinating technology for departmental events and supervising hourly computer support staff. Part of this position is tracking the inventory of departmental capital equipment and other assets as part of the university's asset system, along with other responsibilities as needed.Qualifications:
