The Head of IT Enterprise Applications - Finance Accounting and FP&A will lead the IT teams responsible for applications technology services supporting Finance Accounting and FP&A functions at Equinix.

Reporting to the Vice President of Corporate Applications, this strategic and consultative IT leader will be a technologist with strong functional domain knowledge. This individual must have technology industry awareness, possess an execution and delivery mindset, with experience building and managing exceptional IT teams focused on enabling business efficiency, scale, and strategic success with technology vision and enablement. This leader will be a critical IT engagement partner for functional stakeholders at all levels and will enable scale and efficiencies through delivery and modernization of applications technology platforms in support of Equinix’s Finance Accounting and FP&A teams.

Responsibilities

This hardworking and passionate leader will be responsible for:


  • Leading the IT applications technology vision, strategy, and delivery supporting Finance Accounting and FP&A functions at Equinix.


  • Accountable for productive and impactful IT engagement and partnership at all levels of global stakeholder teams.


  • Will develop and maintain a clear technology vision, strategy, and delivery roadmap in support of business objectives and modernization of supporting technology platforms.


  • Will execute and deliver technology solutions and programs flawlessly, from inception to adoption, maximizing value opportunity across the technology portfolio.


  • Will collaborate effectively and autonomously across all internal IT teams, including Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, PMO, InfoSec, Infrastructure, Analytics, and CEX Applications teams.


  • Owns vendor management, budget forecasts/actuals, and communications.


  • Responsible for building and managing an exceptional team of IT Service Owners, Business Systems Analysts, Solution Architects, and Consulting and Managed Services partners.

Success will be a self-driven, high-energy, innovative thinker with the ability to achieve outcomes and measure performance as a senior leader in the IT organization. Additionally, solid experience and mastery in the following areas:


  • 15+ years of IT Enterprise Applications experience in the finance technology domain, with a record of excellence of delivery in service to strategic business objectives.


  • Substantial experience in the design, build, and successful deployment of Oracle cloud and integrated finance technology solutions to production.


  • Excellent leadership, influence, diplomacy, and presentation skills. Must be able to listen, empathize, and respond effectively to business and IT context, clearly articulating a vision and plan in response.


  • 10+ years of consulting experience and background in the Finance Technology domain preferred


  • Fluency in Finance Accounting and FP&A functional processes, SOX controls and audit processes, and related ITGC


  • Deep knowledge of Oracle finance technology platforms and data integrations


  • Active Finance Technology industry awareness and network


  • Strong talent acquisition and people management capability, comfortable with conflict resolution and escalation management


  • Strong project and program management capability and strong vendor management and budget ownership experience


  • Demonstrate operational excellence experience in complex highly integrated, high-change, high-growth production environments.
