Central Florida Regional Hospital, a 221-bed acute care hospital and Level II trauma center, serves the communities of Seminole and west Volusia counties. The hospital provides the only full-service cardiovascular program in Seminole and west Volusia, including open heart surgery, interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, cardiac rehabilitation and comprehensive diagnostic services. Other specialized services include orthopedic and spine care, robotic surgery, acute inpatient medical rehabilitation and complete imaging services. Central Florida Regional Hospital is located 3.6 miles east of I-4 between S.R. 46 and Highway 17-92 in Sanford. The hospital provides 24/7 emergency care at its main location as well as at Heathrow ER located at 4525 International Parkway in Sanford.

POSITION SUMMARY

Performs those duties directly involved with a variety of technical and computerized procedures for the purpose of detecting pathology. Regulates the equipment used to obtain the images, utilizes film exposure devices, develops, and organizes films for interpretation. Understands computer functions and is able to adequately image all appropriate anatomy based on diagnosis or findings seen while scanning. Operates equipment safely and maintains ALARA standards while performing all types of procedures. Establishes and maintains a good rapport and professional relationship with fellow employees other departments, and the medical staff. Is organized and able to perform several duties at once; is flexible enabling add-on requests to be completed as required.

QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION:
High School graduate or equivalent. Associate degree preferred. Graduate of an AMA and JRCERT accredited approved School of Radiology and MRI.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:
State of Florida Certified Radiography LicenseARRT certification Radiography.
ARRT Certification MRI or obtained within nine (9) months.

EXPERIENCE:
One year of MRI experience preferred.
