TRIO Student Support Services Tutor

Western Nebraska Community College is accepting applications for a part-time (up to 28 hours per week) Tutor for the TRIO Student Support Services Program at the Scottsbluff Campus.

Responsibilities:
Basic mathematics through college algebra, statistics, chemistry, psychology, English and other subjects as needed. Assist and work closely with TRIO SSS staff to identify and contact students at risk of failing or withdrawing from college courses. Contact and set up appointments with students, teach study skills and work with college faculty and TRIO SSS staff to help students succeed and complete courses.

Qualifications:
Ability to relate well to first generation, limited income, disabled and culturally diverse students. Bachelor's degree required; tutoring or teaching experience preferred; or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the required duties.

Salary:
Commensurate.

Start Date:
Immediate.
