Secretary (Part-Time) - Veterans Upward Bound Program

Western Nebraska Community College is accepting applications for a part-time (20-28 hours per week) Secretary for the Veterans Upward Bound Program at the Scottsbluff Campus.

Responsibilities:

Secretarial and receptionist duties include, but not limited to, maintain a comprehensive filing system; prepare letters, documents and project materials as needed; data management; assist with annual performance reports for U.S. Department of Education; track students' progress; provide student/customer service support for the Veterans Upward Bound Program; and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Associate's degree in a business related area preferred; three years of clerical experience; typing skills of at least 45 wpm; knowledge of basic office procedures; demonstrated commitment to working with a diverse population; ability to work independently in addition to working in a collaborative manner; computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word; critical thinking skills; ability to build relationships across the College Community and the community at large; and a desire to support the mission of the College; or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the required duties.

Commensurate.
