Student Support Services Advising Specialist

Western Nebraska Community College is currently accepting applications for the position of Student Support Services (SSS) Advising Specialist.

Responsibilities:
This position provides support services to 200 participants enrolled in the TRIO SSS program. The Advising Specialist provides regular workshops on various topics designed to help participants to gain an understanding of financial literacy, career exploration and various aspects of student success. This position coordinates the Single Parent Network Program which works collaboratively with the Office of Diversity and Inclusion and the Office of Student Services.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education. Preference may be given to candidate with a degree in education, psychology, business, or human relations. Master's degree preferred. Experience in teaching/counseling; experience working with underserved or historically marginalized students; ability to work with diverse populations. Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record required.

Salary:
Commensurate.

Negotiable.
