JOB SUMMARY

Responsible to be a Subject Matter Expert for developing and supporting production and data management systems including, but not limited to, the Manufacturing Execution System (MES), manufacturing systems (Java script), databases (SQL, Access, etc.) and ERP (SAP) for the site.  Responsible for managing the development, control, and compliance of new or existing information systems in the Auburn Hills facility. Provides recommendations for the development of new information systems and/or modifications of existing systems to meet current and projected business needs.  Leads Computer System Validation for the Quality department.

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Ensures new and existing information systems developed at the Auburn Hills facility are compliant to 21 CFR Part 11 and 21 CFR Part 820.


  • Leads Computer System Validation efforts for the site.


  • Maintains and/or creates systems within Java script, SQL databases, Access databases, SAP.


  • Maintains and/or creates system by programming in C#, Visual Basic (VB), HTML.


  • Manage project implementation timelines, prioritization, standardization, change control for information systems.


  • Leads the implementation/integration of corporate provided systems.


  • Present information relative to site capabilities to customers, auditors, and other interested parties.


  • Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to improve existing systems or create new systems.


  • Interfaces with functional specialists to ensure solution design and integrity.


  • Maintains a working knowledge of advancing technologies.


  • Works safely at all times and complies with Environmental Health and Safety standards and work practices along with all other work rules.


EDUCATION AND MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS


  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering OR Associate Engineering degree and four years of relevant job experience or a minimum of 8 years of significant job experience


  • Advanced knowledge of regulatory standards (21 CFR Part 11 and 21 CFR Part 820) and Computer System Validation


  • Strong knowledge in Java script, SQL databases, Access databases, SAP


  • Capable of programming in C#, Visual Basic (VB), HTML


  • Manage high-stress situations, changing priorities and multiple demands


  • Advanced reading, writing and math skills


  • Understanding of complex and advanced programming concepts.


  • Strong communications and customer service skills 


  • Analytical, interpretive, and advanced problem-solving skills (root cause analysis)


  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.



  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations to customers, clients, management team and other employees of the organization.




PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Individual will be required to use computer keyboards or other equipment for extended periods of time. Individual may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision for reading and studying technical materials and use of computer monitor screens a great deal of the time. Specific physical abilities required by the job may include walking, reaching carrying and lifting up to 25 lbs.
