Job Description:

The Barback will be performing various basic "housekeeping" duties, including the stocking of the bar, cleaning up and tending to customers when needed, a barback supports bartenders, assisting them in ensuring that all customer needs are met in an expedient, courteous and professional manner.

Job Duties:

• Trash pick up and disposal at bar and bar service areas.


• Responsible for completing tasks related to stocking, replenishing, cleaning, maintenance, and preparation of beverages under the guidance of the Bartender.


• Maintains and stocks adequate supplies of bar items such as glasses, cups, napkins, drink supplies, condiments, etc.


• Wash glasses and other serving equipment at bars.


• Replenish ice at bar.


• Assist bartender in various tasks, as needed.


• Must wear approved manufacturer certified slip resistant or non-slip shoes at all times while working


• Participate in and pass alcohol awareness and safety training classes

Education/ Experience:

• High school or 1 year similar experience preferred.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Must be dressed neatly and well groomed in clean, Company approved uniform at all times.


• Strength demands: Medium work. Includes exerting approx. 30 lbs several times per shift.


• Walking and standing during a 6-8 hour shift.


• Adherence to Company alcoholic beverage policies.


• Adherence to all Company and Safety Policies and Procedures.


• Excellent communication skills


• Ability to multitask


• Must be able to clearly and effectively communicate English.

Schedule Requirements:

• Schedule may fluctuate based on departmental requirements.

Travel Requirements:

• No local travel required.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to walk and stand for hours at a time. Lift and carry up to 30 lbs. Balance and walk with heavy trays, dinnerware and drinks.
