POSITION SUMMARY:

The Warranty Claims Representative will provide high level of after-sale customer service by receiving, adjudicating and documenting customer complaints regarding product quality; assisting with the resolution of product quality issues and warranty claims.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Receive customer complaints concerning product quality via phone, email, fax and mail.

2. Verify and process claims in accordance with stated guidelines and procedures.

3. Work with intra-departmental teams to resolve customer complaints and quality issues.

4. Process repair shop invoices and fleet customer complaint forms in a timely manner.

5. Initiate preventive & corrective action requests as needed based on warranty data.

6. Prepare shipping orders for warranty parts.

7. Manage large and often complex warranty projects.

8. Process Engineering Change Requests and Deviation Requests as needed and appropriate.

9. Other duties as assigned

EXPERTISE REQUIRED/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High School Diploma; some college preferred.

2. Extensive knowledge of truck bodies and truck body components, and a mechanical aptitude are required.

3. Five (5) years of truck body experience preferred.

4. Good communication skills. Basic computer and typing skills (incl. AS400).

5. Ability to sit for long periods of time, and communicate professionally via telephone and e-mail.

6. Must communicate professionally and effectively with customers and intra-departmental teams to resolve customer complaints and product quality issues.

7. Ability to handle technical challenges professionally, thoroughly, and effectively.

8. Ability to perform in a cross-functional business environment.

9. Ability to problem solve independently and creatively.

10. Represent Morgan to major fleet accounts in professional and courteous manner.

11. Some travel required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Working in an office environment in a seated position a minimum of eight hours per day is required. Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed. May require walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day. Reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting as required to file documents or store materials throughout the workday. Proper lifting techniques required. May include lifting up to 25 pounds for files, computer printouts on occasion.
