Pensacola Bay Support Services , a Joint Venture of IAP Worldwide Services and EMCOR Government Services, has been awarded the Pensacola Base Operations Support Contract.

Summary: Cleans and keeps in an orderly condition working areas and washrooms, or premises of an office, commercial or other establishment. Performs tasks which requires mainly physical abilities and effort involving little or no specialized skill or minimum work experience.

Experience: Two years experience relevant to the job description and working conditions above below.

Education Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent.

Licenses and Certifications Requirements: State of Florida Class \"E\" driver's license or equivalent.

Basic Qualifications

• Sweeps, mops or scrubs, and polishes floors


• Remove chips, trash, and other refuse


• Vacuums carpeted areas


• Dusts equipment, furniture, or fixtures


• Polishes metal fixtures or trimmings


• Washes, dries, folds, stores shop rags


• Cleans lavatories, showers, and restrooms


• Loads and unloads trucks, and other conveyances


• Moves supplies and materials to proper location by handtrucks or company vehicles


• Stacks materials for storage or binning


• Performs general interior or exterior cleanup


• Collects refuse and salvageable materials


• Moves and arranges heavy pieces of office and household furniture, equipment, and appliances; moves heavy pieces of automotive, medical engineering, and other types of machinery and equipment.


• Picks up leaves and trash


• Use Safety Data Sheets (SDS) to identify chemical characteristics.


• Complete Work Orders daily and accurately.


• Work also involves other duties as assigned, including compliance with the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) and Employee Handbook.

Physical Effort:

Individual may lift, carry, handle materials, and equipment weighing up to 40 pounds for at least 30 feet and extended periods. Work frequently requires standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions for extended periods. Must be able to ascend and descend on ladders of various heights.

Working Conditions:

When work is accomplished indoors it is performed in adequately lighted and climate controlled office settings. When accomplished outdoors it can be performed in all climates including hot and cold temperatures for extended periods of time. The work involves minimal risks and observance of safety precautions.
