Description

The Lead Technologist will be responsible for establishing, communicating, and maintaining a corporate Agile program, ranging from processes at the team level all the way to processes at the corporate/enterprise, portfolio, and large-project level. This program will include process maintenance, knowledge systems and standards that will be used to advance customer products and services within the company's lines of business. Reports to the Lead Technologist for Architecture. Works across all technology areas to consolidate customer feedback and requirements.

Responsibilities:

Develops, maintains, and executes the approved Agile technology plan, currently based on Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).

Establishes SAFe development goals to align with corporate goals and flows those goals down to Portfolio Program / Project Managers and technology team.

Identifies tactical and strategic SAFe business opportunities through internal and external technology partnerships

-

Responsible for establishing SAFe certification and training recommendations and communicating them with Area Directors, Portfolio Directors, and Portfolio Program / Project Managers

Works with the Portfolio Directors, Area Directors, and Program/Project Managers to define, implement, and drive mission-critical strategic and operational SAFe initiatives

Provides thought leadership on Agile process developments in the technology industry across all Portfolios

Assists Portfolio Directors, Area Directors, and Program/Project Managers with employment, training, mentoring, motivation, and performance evaluation of personnel related to Agile processes

Works with the Portfolio Directors, Area Directors and Program/Project Managers to resolve SAFe problems, identifies trends, determines system improvements and change

Clearly documents and presents research reports including creation of diagrams and procedure documentation

Possess a broad knowledge of most technical and business resources and use them to effectively coordinate team members and external resources

Identifies, screens, and evaluates new solution opportunities to address unmet customer needs

Utilizes the appropriate technologies and ensure that customers have the solutions they need, when they need them, and in the media best suited to their requirements

Continually enhances job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, sharing professional publications, maintaining professional networks and professional organizations

Position Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline

- SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) or SAFe Program Consultant - Trainer (SPCT) certification

- 5+ years' of technical and supervisory experience in the management of Agile projects within the Department of Defense or Federal contracting environment

- 1+ years' experience managing, developing, evaluating, and supporting SAFe teams

- Must be a US citizen

- Must possess an active DoD Secret/Civilian Public Trust security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

- Master's Degree in a technical discipline

- 3+ years' business development experience to include opportunity identification, capture, teaming, proposal development, and proposal review

- PMP or PMI-ACP certification

- Possess strong analytical skills, including an understanding of business economics and financial resources

- Experience in preparing reports and briefings

- Demonstrated analytical and time-management skills

- Demonstrated ability to work as an active member of a team

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to call, connect, and interact with all levels of an organization and/or potential customers

- Ability to professionally and confidently communicate with Executives, customer / partner / company

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

- Possess a working knowledge of Department of Defense and/or federal procurement practices

Additional Requirements:

- US Citizenship required

- Active DoD Secret/Public Trust clearance OR ability to have a DoD Secret clearance held within the past 24 months reactivated by the VSolvit Facility Security Officer is a condition of employment
