MEDICAL CITY DENTON is a full-service, 208 bed, high quality, acute care hospital. With 850 employees and 300 physicians, Medical City Denton provides a range of healthcare services to patients in the growing populations of Denton, Wise, Cook and Montague Counties since 1974. Medical City Denton continues to expand its facility and programs in order to meet the increasing healthcare demands of area residents while providing quality, compassionate care.

The BARIATRIC OFFICE COORDINATOR independently manages all front and back office operations in the bariatric clinic. Answer phones, greet all customers and facilitate appropriate communication/action. Prepare and maintain organized patient records and facilitate patient correspondence. Handle incoming and outgoing referrals and assist with sending correspondence back to referring offices to ensure continuity of care. Assist with clinical care of the patient during appointments including, but not limited to, documenting vital signs, reason for visit, review and input patient's medical/surgical history into the EMR. Assist with and facilitate patient progress throughout the bariatric pathway to include both the surgical pathway & medical weight management pathway.

QUALIFICATIONS

* Minimum of 2 years of general office preferably in a clinical setting

* Office supervisory experience preferred

* Practice as a Certified Medical Assistant (National Certification) for a minimum of 2 years.

* Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook

* Familiarity with health insurance process required.
