Your day
As a Clinical RN Educator you need to know how to: Provide clinical expertise relating to assigned area for patients, families as well as for a variety of health professionals
Utilize the nursing process for each patient through the nursing assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation
Assist in coordinating a multi-disciplinary approach to patient care with other members of the care team
Provide individual and group education to patients and families
Provide accurate assessments of a patient s physical and emotional status, identify learning needs and any unique special requirements needed to facilitate a positive learning environment for the patient and patient support/family
Provide education, both formal and informal, for patients, families, members of the health care team and the community in specialty area
Act as a resource person to health care professionals in the hospital, home care, and the community regarding specialty area
Consult with physicians regarding patient s treatment and educational plans
Develop communication tools to support effective education and disease management
Your experience

But we also expect excellence, which is why we require: Bachelor s Degree in Nursing (BSN) Current Colorado RN license or compact license with the ability to obtain Colorado RN license Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association Minimum of three (3) years of relevant nursing experience and two (2) years of previous formal education activities Preferred: Master s Degree in Nursing (MSN) Membership in professional organization Your next move
