WHAT WE RE LOOKING FOR:
We re looking for a Vice President of Marketing to lead and manage our marketing team to tell our story, maximize customer value, and drive growth. The role will manage a team of marketers responsible for the planning and execution of all marketing campaigns to support our South Florida Ventures portfolio across the various brands. The VP of Marketing will provide strategic and creative direction on our online and offline marketing activities. They will be the customers advocate internally and will drive campaigns to boost their engagement, attendance and drive revenue.
This individual should have a demonstrable history of following key marketing trends in the industries served and have the ability to synthesize data into actionable strategies that improve the overall business and deliver high-margin returns. Overseeing the marketing teams and working cross-functionally with Vertical Leads, Sales Directors and external support, you ll ensure the right messages are reaching the right customers in the right channels.
ROLE ACCOUNTABILITY AND DUTIES:
* Institute and promote data based multi-channel marketing approach: regularly review marketing plans, response rates, attendee demographics, and industry best practices to ensure marketing efforts are effective, efficient and successful, making recommendations and adjustments as appropriate.
* Lead the development and execution of strategic marketing plans aligned with brand and sales strategies to achieve delivery of attendance and sales goals. Focus on ensuring development of key marketing messages, understanding of customers and event positioning.
* Ensuring ongoing year-over-year audience growth
* Drive the development and execution of personas and customer journeys with the goal to increase attendance and revenue through innovative and compelling campaigns to drive awareness and engagement.
* Drive the expansion and integration of our digital marketing efforts in the entire portfolio.
* Ensure marketing campaigns accurately reflect event positioning and that all marketing plans are executed on schedule and on budget.
* Stay abreast of the latest trends and developments in strategic marketing communications, including developments and best practices in online marketing and analytics.
* Mentor and develop a team of marketers to build a best in class marketing team.
* Oversee management of marketing budget across event portfolio and work with finance in tracking and monitoring ROI, marketing generated revenue, overall campaign results and KPIs.
* Cross-collaborates with peers in other lines of business to achieve consistent brand messaging where appropriate.
* Visible and transparent leadership with senior colleagues
* Leadership of diverse, teams where colleagues are based in various locations in South Florida.
* Ongoing and transparent communication within all levels of the organization to promote a positive organisational culture, Consistent and open two way proactive conversation is expected, especially during times of change.
* Skilled in anticipating future challenges and able to adapt to changing or unexpected circumstances positively.
* Continual development of own management and leadership skills.
* Act as a change management ambassador, demonstrating a positive and constructive attitude towards challenges and change.
* Create an environment which encourages teamwork and collaboration, enabling managers to be effective people managers.
* Maximising operational efficiency and design ensuring proactive approach to headcount budget management
* Support the alignment of marketing capabilities to global best practice, working with Group and Divisional marketing & sales leads to support improvement initiatives.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM:
* Minimum 10+ years marketing experience, with 5 years management experience.
* Strong demonstrated understanding of Digital Marketing as well as website and traffic conversion.
* An interest or experience in Art/Boating industries beneficial.
* Ability to succeed in a in a fast-paced environment.
* Agile and flexible with regards to changing priorities and business needs and in working with diverse teams and people
* Proven ability to lead and influence others to accomplish aggressive goals
* Demonstrated ability to make decisions both strategic and operational to attain goals.
* Strong understanding of the value of data and insights, and ability to translate into marketing initiatives.
* Demonstrated experience developing innovative and forward thinking marketing campaigns
* Outstanding project management, organizational skills, and attention to detail
* Bachelor s degree in Marketing or related field
* Exceptional written communication skills, as well as the ability to problem-solve and conduct quantitative analysis
* Self-motivated, and high energy
* Strong team-orientation and collaborative approach to work.
* Travel required
