SCHEDULE: Full-time

QUALITY COORDINATOR (RN)

UP TO $5,000 SIGN-ON BONUS! FOR ELIGIBLE CANDIDATES. MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF 1 YEAR ACUTE CARE EXPERIENCE.

POSITION SUMMARY: Coordinates the collection, evaluation, and dissemination of performance data relative to specified quality improvement programs within the hospital. Maintains documents and records according to state and federal health care standards. Accurately abstracts and analyzes data for the Core Measures, FMQAI project, and any other assigned patient care outcome initiative. Coordinates performance improvement committees/teams, which includes meeting preparation, setting agendas, writing minutes, drafting applicable letters for committee chairpersons and ensuring all follow-up has been completed. Prepares physician reappointment quality profiles and other physician-related performance improvement project as assigned. Facilitates assigned process improvement initiatives by using problem-solving methodology, root cause analysis and/or Failure, Mode, Effects & Criticality Analysis (FMECA). Maintains proactive and effective communication. Contributes to a culture of patient centered care by ensuring a quiet healing environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Completion of RN diploma program, or related health care program REQUIRED

* Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license REQUIRED; or appropriate multi-state license

* Minimum of one (1) year recent experience within an acute clinical practice or related health care position REQUIRED

SKILLS:
Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills, ability to multi-task, capable of daily problem-solving complex issues

ABOUT US:

POINCIANA MEDICAL CENTER is a four-story, 150,000 square foot hospital with 70 private beds and a six-bed private ICU. We provide a full range of acute care services including emergency services, inpatient and outpatient diagnostic imaging, inpatient and outpatient surgery, cardiac catheterization, laboratory, pharmacy, and a full range of support services. Our ED is approximately 14,500 square feet and consists of 22 private treatment rooms, an EMS entrance and a helicopter pad.
