The Verification Specialist is responsible for the verification of trips and claims in accordance with specific health plan and contractual requirements, as well as identifying and reporting fraudulent data patterns. The Verification Specialist will also enter Meals/Lodging data before releasing trips for payment.
This position is located at our office in Eugene, OR.
What will your job look like?
Validate accuracy of transportation provider trip logs
Confirm accuracy of mileage reimbursement logs
Verify authenticity of medical appointments by contacting facilities, directly
Enter denials if the information is obtained using MMIS
Assist with member and/or provider inquiries (missing checks etc.)
Void or reissue payments based on established criteria
Review errors, disputed signatures, fraudulent activity and investigate
Approve or deny trip signatures
Comply with established departmental processes and procedures
Maintain knowledge of departmental processes and procedures
Form consistent and accurate decisions in relation to confidential provider and member information
All you need is:
High school diploma or G.E.D.
Typing speed of 45 wpm
Even better if you have:
Previous data entry, 10-key experience
Familiarity with AS400 phone system
Exemplary communication
Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
Ability to make solid judgment decisions
Ability to acquire and maintain in-depth knowledge of department processes, policies, and procedures
Substantial experience in Internet navigation
Skills in the use of computers, including Microsoft Word, Excel and other Microsoft applications
Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality
