Job Description:

Overall Purpose: This career step requires senior level experience. Responsible for review and analysis of security requirements, works with senior team members to develop integrated plans to protect corporate assets and information technology, and administers security systems to support daily security operations. Assess overall security risk of systems, prioritizes and leads activities to lower AT&Ts overall security risk posture.

Key Roles and Responsibilities: Includes researching, recommending, documenting, and coordinating implementation of changes to policies, procedures, facilities, and systems to enhance security as well as developing and delivering corporate security awareness training for users and technical security training for system administrators. Facilitates compliance with company security policies, practices and legal requirements. May provide support to non-management employees, including coaching, on-the-job and formal training, reference materials, procedures and system documentation. Provides information to management regarding the negative impact on the business caused by theft, destruction, alteration or denial of access to information. May interface with other stakeholders including vendors, application development and technical support staff, and clients. May provide inventory and asset management resources to security operation, including administrative supplies, security specific resources such as SecurID cards or cryptographic key management, and specialized security software. May perform some Cyber Security duties.

This is a Senior-Technology Security position.  The work involves developing cybersecurity educational concepts and training, an understanding of the big picture of a curriculum and how it is developed for a specific corporeate audience.  More specifically, the job requires development of original online training that contains technical content, in specific, cybersecurity content.

The position includes script writing about cybersecurity learning topics which involves taking relatively complex subjects and explaining them in the context of an engaging story, rather than a straight lecture.  It entails article/blog writing and/or editing relatively complex subjects and explaining them in an engaging way for the web—blogs and articles, and educational modules and complete courses.

There is a required ability to produce cybersecurity educational video, live action and animated and be able to assist in pre-production, production, and post-production.

On a daily basis the work involves development of cybersecurity written content both national and international training.  The content will be posted in all corporate venues, using the communication channels available, such as tspace, Global Logon, Slack, websites, etc.

The job involves using internal social media to develop internal promotion of the media created within the team.

Using standard MS office programs, this position develops live presentations, creates Powerpoint slides, works production positions in live broadcasts, includes taking on the unexpected in the area of live cybersecurity productions.

This position is significant to support the gap that occurs between the network security and security technology solutions.  The role manages the security of the human element, analyzing why humans behave as they do and interpreting that into learning objectives and lessons that are taught both as push campaigns and COMPLIANCE security training—that is, annual required training.  This training enhances the population’s awareness and knowledge of the security landscape, security threats and how they can participate in the solution toward protection of the network and data.   Without this role, the human element is less likely to exercise precautions to protect the network as well as internal and customer data.  This role is responsible for educating the front-line personnel who interact with customers (such as, support center and retail personnel).  Without this role, personnel are more likely to open the network to breaches and malicious intrusion.


Accreditation, Certification, or Licenses:  Bachelor of Arts in Education or Communication

Training and Special Skills:  A background in the education or communication professions.  A working knowledge of cybersecurity terminology.

Job Contribution: Senior level technical expertise. Deep technical knowledge and subject matter expert on ATT technologies.

Education: Bachelors of Science degree in the field of Computers, Engineering, or Mathematics preferred.

Experience: Typically requires 5- 8 years experience. Technical Career Pathway (TCP) role.
