The Assistant Traffic Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support to the Traffic Coordinator and Logistics Department. This position is responsible for the check in/out of drivers as well as providing shipping documents in entirety for each shipment leaving the Virginia facility. Additional duties will include those associated with scheduling pickup appts, scheduling LTL carriers for customer routed shipments, and fill-in for the Traffic Coordinator.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Reviews the Logistics outbound truck schedule daily from SharePoint.
Prepares any documentation ahead of time for the day as needed
Customer BOLs, and customer specific paperwork
Contact LTL carriers for orders routed by customer.
Schedules carrier appointment times for pick-ups via SharePoint
Assists with calculations of product pack out for all shipments.
Main contact for all incoming drivers
Check in
Verify ship to location
Confirmation of proper equipment
Accurately prepare all shipping documents daily.
Print Pick Ticket and distribute to Material Handlers
Creates Packing Slip and Bill of Lading out of IQMS
Certificate of Origin as needed in IQMS
Commercial Invoice in IQMS
Scan and export documentation to the assigned Customer Service Rep and/or Customer Contact.
Communicates every morning with Accounting on any loads that are on a credit hold.
Filing of any shipment document
To be held for a minimum of 1 year
Complete other task as assigned by Traffic Coordinator and/or Logistics Manager
Act as back-up support to Traffic Coordinator as needed; including scheduling inbound/outbound shipments for both the KS and VA plants.
