SUMMARY
The Defense Health Agency (DHA) is a Combat Support Agency supporting our warfighters and beneficiaries' healthcare needs throughout the Military Health System (MHS). This new era will require increased knowledge sharing, agility, integration, and continuous improvement to positively influence the success of all stakeholders' current and future health.

CNSP is seeking a Journeyman Operations Support Specialist to assist with the DHA Clinical Support Division (CSD), Patient Safety Program (PSP), and The Office of the Deputy of the Assistant Secretary of Defense Health Services Policy and Oversight (HSP&O) Programmatic and Technical support contract.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Includes the following:


  • Engage and communicate (written and verbally) with senior executive leaders within the MHS governance structure regularly.
  • Provide direct support to key government leaders for task execution and management including scheduling meetings, coordinating travel, logistics, preparing agendas and meeting minutes, tracking action items and due outs, collecting and preparing read-ahead, developing executive action/decision packages, as well as action memos, memorandums of support or agreement, standard operating procedures or manuals, and DoD or HA/DHA issuances.
  • Provide CSD Defense Travel System (DTS) administrator services to include preparing and adjudicate travel orders for CSD staff members.
  • Assist in preparing reports and letters to external organizations, including Congress and special interest groups.
  • Assist the workstream lead with collecting the necessary data and information to be used for drafting testimony for congressional subcommittees concerning clinical matters of the Military Health System. Source material shall come from internal research, DoD publications, and published literature.
  • Assist in preparing package coordination documents and coordinate and process taskings received through the Correspondence and Task Management System (CATMS) to prepare tasker documents for routing and coordination, track progress across multiple levels of within DHA/HA, and keep the Action Officers abreast and the documents routed in a time-sensitive manner.
  • Coordinate and manage project tasks to ensure project delivery within allotted timelines.

SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY: None

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:


  • A Bachelor's degree is required; a Master's degree preferred.
  • A minimum of four (4) to seven (7) years of experience in administration or operations supporting the Federal Government or Department of Defense; DHA experience is highly preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Experience providing meeting support to include scheduling/coordination, preparing associated documents, and adjudicating meeting minutes is required.
  • Experience coordinating official government travel utilizing the Defense Travel System (DTS) is highly preferred.
  • Experience using CATMS/TMS is preferred.
  • Good organizational skills and excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Tolerance for ambiguity and the ability to work in a fast-changing environment with a self-starter approach.
  • U.S. Citizenship and DoD government security clearance NACI is required.
  • The ability to successfully pass a drug screen and a federal background check are mandatory.
