What you will do:
You will be responsible for planning, coordinating and implementing manufacturing processes and methods required for a premier HVAC manufacturing facility. Key duties include leading and/or participating on projects that increase plant capacity, reduce cost, improve productivity, reduce job hazards, and /or improve product quality. Key areas of responsibility will be within coil (fin and tube), copper, powder paint, and sheet metal fabrication departments.

How you will do it:


  • Processing engineering change requests;

  • Trouble-shooting production problems within the fabrication process;

  • Coil (fin and tube) Fin Stamping, Slab Building, Expanding, and Brazing

  • Copper Forming, Bending and End Forming of Copper Tube

  • Sheet Metal, Stamping (150-800 Ton Presses), Punching (Turrets), Forming (Press Brakes)

  • Powder Painting

  • Assist in trouble-shooting fabrication equipment;

  • Fin Press/Punch Press/Press Brakes/Turrets/Coil Expanders/Auto Brazers/Paint Line (spray booth, wash system, ovens)

  • Optimizing work station layout within the fabrication areas;

  • Justifying, specifying, and installing equipment;

  • Introducing new products (BOM scrubbing, Manufacturing Trial Lots, Assist in Training, and work with Design Engineering on Production Issues related to Design for Manufacturing).

  • Creating and maintaining Bill of Materials and Routings (Assembly and Fabrication).

  • Supporting and/or leading Lean projects.

What we look for:Required:


  • Lean manufacturing principles (material flow, material presentation, process flow, workstation design, layouts…).

  • Equipment justification, specification and installation.

  • Ergonomic principles.

  • Fabrication processes including coils, copper and sheet metal manufacturing.

  • Classic industrial engineering principles including time studies, line balancing and equipment utilization analyses.

  • Machine design (oversee fixture & equipment design, fabrication and installation).

  • B.S. degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or other related manufacturing discipline HVAC training or experience a plus.

  • Presentations, teamwork, and coaching for optimal performance.

Preferred:


  • Microsoft Office, SAP, AutoCAD, and Pro-E.
