What you will do: You will be responsible for planning, coordinating and implementing manufacturing processes and methods required for a premier HVAC manufacturing facility. Key duties include leading and/or participating on projects that increase plant capacity, reduce cost, improve productivity, reduce job hazards, and /or improve product quality. Key areas of responsibility will be within coil (fin and tube), copper, powder paint, and sheet metal fabrication departments.
How you will do it:
Processing engineering change requests;
Trouble-shooting production problems within the fabrication process;
Coil (fin and tube) Fin Stamping, Slab Building, Expanding, and Brazing
Copper Forming, Bending and End Forming of Copper Tube
Fin Press/Punch Press/Press Brakes/Turrets/Coil Expanders/Auto Brazers/Paint Line (spray booth, wash system, ovens)
Optimizing work station layout within the fabrication areas;
Justifying, specifying, and installing equipment;
Introducing new products (BOM scrubbing, Manufacturing Trial Lots, Assist in Training, and work with Design Engineering on Production Issues related to Design for Manufacturing).
Creating and maintaining Bill of Materials and Routings (Assembly and Fabrication).
Supporting and/or leading Lean projects.
What we look for:Required:
Lean manufacturing principles (material flow, material presentation, process flow, workstation design, layouts…).
Equipment justification, specification and installation.
Ergonomic principles.
Fabrication processes including coils, copper and sheet metal manufacturing.
Classic industrial engineering principles including time studies, line balancing and equipment utilization analyses.
Machine design (oversee fixture & equipment design, fabrication and installation).
B.S. degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or other related manufacturing discipline HVAC training or experience a plus.
Presentations, teamwork, and coaching for optimal performance.
Preferred:
Microsoft Office, SAP, AutoCAD, and Pro-E.
