Job Description:

Medline has an immediate opening for a Supply Chain Manager in our Kitting Supply Chain Division located in Waukegan, IL. This position will manage the Analytics team supporting the Kitting Supply Chain and partnering divisions. The analytics work will drive improved tools, metrics, reporting, processes, and project outcomes throughout the organization. This individual will be responsible for managing the project and analytical work within the analytics team in support of broader organizational objectives. This manager will develop relationships with internal and external business partners to drive excellent customer service through improved visibility/access to data, using data to drive decisions and actions, driving efficient processes, fostering effective problem solving and collaborative decision making. The Supply Chain Manager will ensure that the team drives best in class results and performance through process improvement and cross functional collaboration with plant operations, demand and supply planning, reorder buying, and other business partners. He/She will also be responsible for driving continuous process improvement. We are seeking a hard-working, detail-oriented professional with a strong supply chain management background, strong analytical skills, good communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. In addition to exceptional communication and analytical skills, you must have a "roll-up your sleeves" attitude.

The challenging responsibilities of the position include:


  • Provide direction to teams in Supply Chain. Analyze, resolve, or escalate inventory issues. Ensure daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly tasks of Supply Chain teams meet standards.
  • Resolve daily Supply Chain issues. Direct team regarding issue resolution and continuous improvement.
  • Communicate to senior management Supply Chain and service issues with short and long term recommendations on resolution.
  • Ensure inventory plans and execution of plans are consistent with Supply Chain goals

  • Provide support to internal manufacturing operations.

  • Prepare and present forward-looking, future projections of inventory, volume, service, planning, capacity, and space considerations. Assure that the system parameters are correct. Manage communication between teams.

  • Management responsibilities include:


    • Typically oversees professional employees/teams OR typically manages non-professional employees through Supervisors in manufacturing, distribution or office environments

    • Day-to-day operations of a group of employees.

    • May have limited budgetary responsibility and usually contributes to budgetary impact.

    • Interpret and execute policies for departments/projects and develops.

    • Recommend and implement new policies or modifications to existing policies.

    • Provide general guidelines and parameters for staff functioning.


    • Hiring staff, recommending pay increases, performing performance reviews, training and development of staff, estimating personnel needs, assigning work, meeting completion dates, interpreting and ensuring consistent application of organizational policies.

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Mathematics, Applied Statistics, or related field.
    Relevant Work Experience

    • At least 4 years of experience in operations and/or supply chain.

    Additional


    • Experience demonstrating knowledge level of MRP, buying, demand management and forecasting.

    • Experience applying concepts of basic algebra and/or statistics.

    • Advanced level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using AVERAGE function, merging and centering cells, printing centered page and/or creating a pivot table).

    Preferred Qualifications


    • Experience in import logistics, inventory planning and transportation.

    • Experience managing people, including hiring, developing, motivating and directing people as they work.

    • Experience with SAP.

    • Advanced level skill in Microsoft Access (for example: modifying default field properties, creating a sub-form, adding a control button, modifying query criteria and query totals, using conditional formatting and/or viewing data relationships).
