Collateral Analyst III at Origin Bank

Job Description:

Summary Receives, reviews, logs and properly stores all original collateral received from Clients and closing agents; prepares original Notes and Bailee letters for shipment to takeout investors; processes receipt and settlement of incoming investor wires.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
- Processes daily incoming collateral; opens mail received from clients and closing agents; reviews original Notes against funded loans in WLS; logs Notes in WLS
- Manages collateral inventory; performs weekly audits of all mortgage Notes in the Bank's possession to ensure an accurate inventory.
- Monitors aged outstanding collateral (\\"Wet Note\\") reports; follows up with clients and updates status in WLS.
- Prepares original Notes and Bailee letters for timely shipment to takeout investors; properly endorses, stacks, scans and packages Notes by client and investor prior to shipment.
- Processes receipt and settlement of incoming wires from investors and return wires from closing agents; allocates funds to loans in accordance with purchase advices.
- Gathers required documentation to obtain investor approvals on behalf of Clients; sets up new investors in WLS; links approved investors to client accounts as requested.
- Approves loans for disbursement.
- Prepares agency pool documents for execution and delivery.
- Reviews Jumbo loans up to $1MM for funding approval.
- Adds/updates WLS User information for clients; Resets passwords per client request.
- Researches and resolves GL outages reported by Accounting.
- Responds timely to client emails concerning information requests, quality control documentation, return wires, funding cancellations, updates, wire confirmations, etc.
- Trains new Warehouse Lending employees and Clients as needed.
- Processes daily IBS transfers for all client residuals, or QC's team member's transactions
- Processes daily CNB participation transfers, or QC's team member's transactions
- Updates GMFS daily balances spreadsheet, used to calculate utilization
- Reviews new investor financials and product matrixes for approval
- Processes monthly Libor updates in WLS
- Cross trains in any area where Warehouse Lending VP sees the opportunity for continued training or support.
- Attends industry events; representing Origin Bank Warehouse Lending Department in a professional manner.

Education and/or Experience
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; minimum five years related experience and/or training in mortgage banking with warehouse lending, closing/funding and mortgage shipping; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Bankway; WLS (Warehouse system) software, Microsoft Word, and Outlook.
