POINCIANA MEDICAL CENTER is a four-story, 150,000 square foot hospital with 70 private beds and a six-private bed ICU. Poinciana Medical Center provides a full range of acute care services including emergency services, diagnostic imaging, inpatient and outpatient surgery, cardiac catheterization, laboratory, pharmacy, and a full range of support services. The Emergency Department is approximately 14,500 square feet and consists of 22 private treatment spaces, an EMS entrance and a helicopter pad.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Has appropriate education, credentials and competencies to function as a Sonographer in one of the above specialties. Provides services to patients and physicians through the creation of diagnostic images appropriate to diverse patient populations. Responsible for meeting the established standards of practice and patient care, supplies and equipment and coordinating work with all members of the health care team.

QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION:
Obtains educational requirements to become registry eligible
Completion of a Sonography Program or a Radiology Technologist Program

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
General: ARDMS (AB) or (OB) or (BR)
Vascular: ARDMS (VT) or ARRT (RVS) or CCI (RVS)
Cardiac: RDCS (AE) or CCI (RCS)
BLS
