You will support our order-to-cash (OTC) operations and/or the customer collaboration agenda for a given market or set of customers. You will offer improved value and service to the customer and increase supply chain efficiency while offering clear accountability and transparency into customer performance through a single point of contact.

How you will contribute

You will:


  • Build and maintain a collaborative relationship with the Costco Replenishment team.  Must effectively influence Costco Replenishment manager, gaining support for replenishment policies that maximize product availability at store level, while minimizing inventory in the supply chain. 

  • Meet Costco CFR target (98%) at store level with no out-of-stocks at the Clubs.  This is accomplished by leveraging lean six sigma principles to proactively analyze using Costco’s data through IRI, identification of any forecast or in-stock issues, followed by implementation of action steps to resolve them.

  • Lead monthly collaboration 30-60-90-day process with MDLZ Sales team, Costco buyers and Costco replenishment teams to improve key linkage between sales plans and replenishment needs.

  • Use judgment to balance risk of "over forecasting", resulting in high inventory levels, cost and waste, versus "under forecasting" and missing out on potential sales opportunities.

  • Collaborate with demand forecasting to insure Costco demand is accurately planned in the Demand Planning Tool (APO) and all enrichments are accurately linked into SAS forecasting software

  • Act as the point person for operational execution (new item introductions and rotations) changes, working jointly with Costco replenishment team. Create execution plan and coordinate internally with account team, demand planning, supply, and category leadership to ensure a seamless transition.

  • Provide input and recommendations for the collaborative planning process and analyzes and makes forecast and inventory recommendations to Sales and Demand Planning team to drive maximum in-stock performance.

  • Utilize Costco data to provide analytical support to Mondelez Customer Business Team, Costco Buyers and Inventory Control Specialists.

  • Drive activities to improve overall cost to serve the customer.

  • Develop and implement on-going improvements for processes.

  • Experience in CS&L function, ideally with excellent knowledge of OTC management and processes, customer supply chain management

  • Cross-functional experience (sales, CS&L controlling, demand planning, and logistics and warehousing knowledge)

  • SAP, information systems, process design, standard operating procedures

  • Experience leading and developing a team

  • Able to analyze data and derive insights into action with a focus on delivering to timelines and KPIs

  • Great interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills

  • Able to influence, negotiate and apply commercial acumen

Scope of Role 

This supply chain lead role ensures Mondelez (MDLZ) products are on Costco’s floor when and where our consumers need them.  The role is critical to developing a high-quality relationship with Costco’s Supply Chain team, and internal linkage between Sales, Demand, Order Fulfilment and Supply to generate revenue while driving operational efficiencies. Costco annual sales are $248MM across 547 clubs delivered through warehouse route to market.

The Supply Chain lead role is responsible for critical decisions and recommendations impacting both the Customer and Mondelez finished goods inventory.  The individual must balance maximizing in-stock availability goals to drive sales targets while managing inventory levels within the Clubs.

Minimum Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Supply Chain or Sales,

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in planning &/or replenishment

  • Proficient in using customer portals, APO, SAP, Microsoft Office suite strongly preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision

  • Effective communicator across all levels of the business

  • Proven experience with using data to identify and lead process improvements.

No Relocation support available, however for candidates voluntarily moving internationally some minimal support is offered through our Volunteer International Transfer Policy
