A rapidly growing Maine hospital is actively seeking a Central Sterile Processing Supervisor SPD to join their team.

The Central Sterile Processing Supervisor SPD will work at a 230+ bed hospital alongside a dedicated team of individuals. This state-of-the-art facility is rapidly expanding, offering a full range of services including their growing surgical department. 

Joining the Perioperative Surgical Services team and reporting to the Manager of Sterile Processing, the Central Sterile Processing Supervisor SPD will be accountable for managing daily operations of the day shift sterile processing team. The Central Sterile Processing Supervisor SPD will act as a resource for the team, assisting with new-hire on-boarding and training, mentoring current department staff on best practices and techniques, and working hands-when needed. Additionally, the Central Sterile Processing Supervisor SPD will handle scheduling, day-to-day operations, assisting with staff evaluations, and cross collaborate and ensure streamline communication with the Manager of Sterile Processing, Materials Management, Operating Room Manager, Manager of Environmental Services.  

With increased caseloads and a recently approved renovation, the Perioperative Surgical Services department is rapidly growing. The Central Sterile Processing Supervisor SPD will be an experienced sterile processing technician with up-to-date technical skills, excited to mentor and educate the expanding sterile processing team that will consist of new graduates and seasoned sterile processing technicians. Ideally, the Central Sterile Processing Supervisor SPD will have previous leadership experience and hold their CSPD or CRCST certification.
