R&D Technician, Fragrance at RB LLC

Job Description:

About the role •    Within the Health Global Business Unit, provide support and coordination of all activities required to incorporate state of the art fragrances into RB category products with a focus on the Dettol Brand portfolio
•    Support the Fragrance Team to sustain the current portfolio in market and activities required to identify, develop and qualify superior fragrances in support of the Health Brands, product formats and power markets, and to allow for timely execution.

Accountabilities / Responsibilities •    Act as the liaison between the fragrance house and internal RB colleagues to coordinate fragrance orders, paperwork and answer any questions in order to facilitate the development of state of the art fragrances within the development teams.
•    Apply technical & organization knowledge working toward multiple fragrance project goals and objectives within established timelines. 
•    Maintain tools in areas such as evaluation/stabilities, fragrance data management, fragrance banks and olfactive maps, and others
•    Support all compliance type projects in relation to fragrance (Force Majeures, ingredient removals & regulatory reworks)
•    Within defined categories, develop an understanding of base formulations in all relevant technical formats to provide optimal fragrance guidance. 
•    Work directly with the process engineering team and lead all activities related to fragrance validation; prepare various formulation bases, full fragrance formula products and conduct performance evaluations. 
•    Support the category development teams through fragrance stabilities, product release on application bases with and without fragrance in order to aid qualification directly with consumers of new fragrance innovations.
•    Maintain all safety data sheet files, chemical inventory and effective operation of all laboratory equipment. 
•    Maintain detailed records of stability and batches performed and generating reports on results achieved. 
•    Coordinate product testing with Microbiology, Sensory and Analytical Groups, as needed. 

Qualifications •    High School diploma with at least 5 years of lab experience or Associates Degree in Science with 1-2 years related experience. 
•    Knowledge or experience in a FMCG/Fragrance/Flavor environment
•    Fragrance evaluation experience a plus
•    Good organizational and interpersonal skills. 
•    Ability to carry out work independently as a member of larger team
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
•    Computer literate, including MS Word, Excel and other related computer skills. 
•    GLP/GMP experience a plus.
