POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Technical Director will report to the Director of Integrated Engineering and work with the Program Manager overseeing the technical direction of a large DoD program. The candidate will provide technical vision to a large multi-disciplinary team of engineering professionals that are helping solve the most critical cyber challenges for the United States Government. The candidate will implement and improve upon established procedures while performing a variety of tasks related to leading the technical execution of a high-visibility program. The candidate will be relied upon for their detail-oriented approach towards accurately understanding the complex system. The ideal candidate thrives on being challenged. Overall, the candidate will become a key part of elevating the efficiency and performance of the entire technical team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

The Technical Director must have extensive experience in the following areas:

Design

Provide consultation to hardware and software teams designing the system
-
Support the presentation / defense of the design to the customer
-
Research
-
Provide consultation to teams performing research on the next-gen system
-
Support the presentation / defense of the research to the customer
-
Technology
-
Develop vision and roadmap for technology on cyber program that covers computer systems, software systems, and networking in the offensive and defensive cyber operations realm.

Understanding of the industry trends that drive and impact cyber, mission planning, data visualization, data analytics, server systems, virtualization, cloud, software, and networking technologies

Secures systems utilizing Risk Management Framework processes
-
Implements DevOps framework to support build server automation for continuous integration of software build products.

Presentation
-
Deliver technology vision briefings to customers, Parsons leadership, and the engineering team
-
Support the Program Manager and the Program Office COTR in meetings where technical details will be introduced and / or discussed
-
Writing
-
Provide consultation to teams performing technical writing
-
Support the editing / delivery of artifacts to the customer

REQUIREMENTS:
-
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology fields and 15 years of related work experience.

Must posses active Top Secret Security clearance
-
Help the customer properly capture and articulate operational needs and capability gaps
-
Transform these needs and gaps into requirements
-
Analyze the requirements for feasibility and conceptualize the architecture into a vision
-
Flow down vision to technical leads on the program
-
Collaborates with leadership, including the Director of Integrated Engineering, Chief Architect, Product Management and Program Manager.

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

Good written and oral communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are required. Additionally, a demonstrated proficiency in keyboard skills and the utilization of Microsoft Office are required. Strong working experience with Windows and Linux operating systems. Strong background in software engineering and computer networking is required.

Must be able to obtain, maintain and/or currently possess a security clearance..
