SUMMARY OF JOB FUNCTION: Administers patient care for in-patients and out-patients in the Radiology Department for diagnostic and interventional procedures. Utilizes assessment techniques, teaching and evaluation to determine effectiveness of care. Documents response to procedures when deemed necessary. Participates in Quality Improvement activities. Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient s age specific needs and provide age specific treatment and care. Is responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments (i.e. damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas) and medical errors.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate of an approved school of nursing. Licensed and registered as a professional nurse in the State of New Jersey. Minimum of two years experience as a staff nurse. BLS and ACLS required at hire. PALS is required within three (3) months of hire.
