DESCRIPTION

Georgia-Pacific has openings for self-starters with the desire to learn new skills to fill our PRODUCTION ASSOCIATES positions in DENTON, TX.This role is an entry-level hourly position with opportunities for advancement in the organization. In this position, you will support machine operators by learning to safely operate corrugated production equipment while working in a team environment. SIGN ON BONUS UP TO $1000.00 PAID AFTER 90 DAYS!!

WHAT YOU WILL DO IN YOUR ROLE.

* Assisting with setups, troubleshooting and making minor machine adjustments

* Adhering to all safety, health, and plant rules, policies, procedures and guidelines

* Supporting our safe working environment by wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and abiding by Lock-Out-Tag-Out safety procedures

THE EXPERIENCE YOU WILL BRING.

Basic Qualifications:

* Willing and able to work in a loud/noisy, hot, humid, dusty, greasy and high volume environment

* Willing and able to wear the necessary Personal Protection equipment (PPE) (i.e. hard hats, safety glasses, face shield, chemical suit, respirator, ear plugs, hearing protection, steel-toe boots or safety shoes and other PPE required by specific jobs)

* Willing and able to work any shift, holidays, weekends and overtime as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience within the corrugated packaging industry

* Experience operating a forklift

* One (1) year or more of work experience in a manufacturing or production environment

EDUCATION

* High School Diploma or GED
