Schaeffler, a global automotive and industrial supplier, is looking for a Tool Manufacture - Machinist (3rd Shift) for our facility in Fort Mill. The primary function of this position is the preparation, breakdown and MAJOR repair of production tooling along with troubleshooting, minor tool optimization improvement.

Key duties include but not limited to:

• Assembles tool sets for production
  
  
• Breaks down and cleans tooling after production
  
  
• Inspects tooling for damage or wear after production
  
  
• Makes major repairs to tooling
  
  
• Completes minor tool optimization projects
  
  
• Maintain complete and accurate records on tooling as required
  
  
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Follows all safety rules and practices
  
  
• Follows all quality procedures
  
  

• Associates Degree in Machine Tool Technology (machine tool curriculum) or formal Apprenticeship.
  
  
• Proficient with a variety of machine tools, including, lathes, mills, grinders, etc.
  
  
• Skilled in the use of blue prints.
  
  
• Proficient with the use of both metric and standard measurement systems.
  
  
• Proficient in the use of precision gauging.
