Job Description:

Responsible for the daily oversight of the work performed by the Business Configuration Unit.  This includes analyzing, developing, configuring, testing and implementing the technical system configuration to support the business. The position is also responsible for implementing and testing new system rules as a result of system fixes and new releases in cooperation with Information Services Group.



  • Develop and manage the processes of the Facets/Care Advance configuration development lifecycle.  This includes oversight of analysis of requirements, creation of alternative system build options, business communication, system table construction, testing and implementation into production.

     


  • Coordinate resolution of production defects using standard system methodologies, including break/fix process controls, analysis, testing, coordination with other Information Systems areas and owners of third-party integrated systems, and coordination of migration of changes into production.

     


  • Responsible for quality controls within the department, including developing and maintaining reports and tools surrounding the integrity and validity of the business rules in Facets tables.

     

  • Oversight of new build, system maintenance, break/fix and release activities between Cognizant and BCN.


  • Business areas relative to Facets/Care Advance functionality and other interfacing applications.

     


  • Manages activities of a department including but not limited to planning, problem solving, staff development and communication.

     



  • Bachelor’s Degree required with a concentration in Business Administration, Management Information Systems, or Information Technology.

     


  • Master’s Degree preferred.  

     


  • Seven (7) years of experience in Systems Project Management and business solutions or related experience. 

     


  • Three (3) years of experience in a supervisory role.

     


  • Training in Relationship database reporting & SQL languages.

     


  • Knowledge of all components of Health Care business.

     


  • In-depth knowledge of Facets/ Care Advance and third-party system data structures, system flows and process flows.

     


  • Knowledge of relational database structures and SQL.

     


  • Expert use of Excel and Access.

     


  • In-depth knowledge of system implementation, quality control and testing methodologies.

     


  • Knowledge of project management methods.

     


  • Knowledge of IT and Systems Analysis methods.

     


  • Organizational & planning skills.

     


  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

     

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple workloads to meet competing priorities.
