What you will do:

The Global Business Development Manager serves as Johnson Control’s (JCI’s) authorized interface for some of JCI’s largest global existing and target customer’s with centralized decision making. This person will be responsible to be one of the business development sales leads for the global strategic account team covering all solution areas of Security / Fire / HVAC / Building Controls / Energy Solutions / Digital Solutions.

The Global Strategic Accounts Executive will report to the director of sales for the Global Enterprise Accounts team and will be expected to work effectively with peers, create / update on a quarterly basis and share strategic target account plans, hold quarterly business / pipeline reviews and maintain an accurate and up-to-date pipeline in order to meet or exceed annual sales objectives.

This role is designed to support the Global Enterprise Account Sales Agenda and focus on Johnson Control’s key strategic customers in order to maintain our existing market share and drive growth through the expansion of JCI’s solutions and services within target accounts.

How you will do it:

• Working with the existing JCI business units and geographical regions to determine existing customers that may have the potential to become global enterprise accounts, qualify their global potential, build the necessary internal and client relationships to expand our existing business relationships globally.

• Target multinational companies in specific vertical segments for net new global enterprise accounts through effective prospecting / targeting, qualifying and relationship development.

• This position is intended to be an 80/20 split of business development / account management. Therefore, the on-going account management of some existing client relationships to maintain and grow our market share of their security, fire, HVAC and building controls solutions and services will also be required.

• Building and maintaining internal relationships within sales, operations and service functional areas as well as coordinating with numerous internal contacts in all regions of the world is a requirement to ensure successful pre and post-sales support of our client’s needs.

What we look for:

Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or relevant education.

• 5+ years of sales/business development experience.

• Strategic Target Account Planning and end-user relationship management skills.

• Strong relationship development skills and a proven business development track record.

• Ability to influence globally, strong EQ (Emotional Intelligence Skills).

Preferred:

• 5+ years of sales/business development experience in the Fire, Security or HVAC industry.

• International customer relationship management experience.

• Fluency in multiple languages.
