Department's Website:Summary of Job Duties:The Landscape Supervisor is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing landscaping and grounds maintenance activities. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma
-
At least three years of experience in landscaping, grounds keeping, ground maintenance, or related area
-
At least one year in a supervisory capacity

Required license(s)/certification(s)

Chemical applicator's license or the ability to obtain such within one year
-
Valid Driver's License

Preferred Qualifications:
-
At least two years of budgeting and management experience
-
Formalized training in horticulture/grounds management

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
-
Strong knowledge of ornamental plants of the Mid-South
-
Knowledge of the methods and techniques used in landscaping and grounds maintenance
-
Ability to operate and make minor repairs to grounds maintenance equipment
-
Ability to read and properly interpret landscape plans and diagrams
-
Ability to plan, organize, and direct a landscaping and grounds maintenance program
-
Ability to maintain records and estimate landscaping and grounds maintenance needs
-
Ability to supervise the work activities of subordinate employees in landscaping and grounds maintenance
