Eastside Behavioral Health Services is located on our South Campus and is a 61 bed facility serving the adult and geriatric populations. We focus on full life cycle treatment providing interdisciplinary therapeutic interventions with nursing care, medication management, group and individual therapy sessions in an inpatient and outpatient basis. Job Summary:

* As the Mental Health Technician, you will demonstrate knowledge and ability to provide appropriate care for psychiatric and/or chemical dependency patients.

* You will assist with patient ambulation in room, hall, and bathroom.

* You will assist in feeding patients, offering fluids and snacks, recording amounts consumed.

* You will respond to call bell needs, requests from patient/family and nurses.

* You will document vital signs and inform nurse of any change in patient status.

QUALIFICATIONS

* B.S/B.A in behavioral health sciences preferred.

* One to two years recent behavioral health and/ or addictive disease experience preferred

* A student nurse who is currently enrolled in nursing school and has completed Nursing Fundamentals AND Anatomy and Physiology I & II will be considered

* Previous experience in an inpatient behavioral health setting preferred

* BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire
