Job Description:

Medline Industries, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Supplier Quality Manager supporting our SPT Product Division based at our corporate headquarters in Northfield, IL. The Supplier Quality Manager supports the supplier management process and works closely with Engineering, Production, Purchasing, Clinical and Quality groups to ensure that the suppliers and the related purchased components or services meet specifications and other requirements. This position supports the supplier management process to ensure the requirements of the corporate policies, regulations of the FDA and ISO 13485. We are seeking a dynamic, hard-working professional with a solid education and Quality Management background in Medical Device and a desire to work for a fast-paced, large corporate organization. In addition to solid leadership ability and analytical skills, you must have a "roll-up your sleeves" attitude.

    Manages the Supplier Corrective Action Request (SCAR) program Ensures SCARs are issued to the appropriate supplier contacts Collaborates and interacts with internal teams (Engineering, Purchasing, Quality, Production, Clinical) Ensures SCAR status is prepared and reported for Management through tracking of metrics Manages in tracking and processing confidentiality agreements, quality agreements and other supplier related documentation Manages the supplier evaluation process Maintains and analyzes supplier metrics to identify recurring trends and drives improvement actions to reduce internal failure and costs Works with supplier quality team to establish and manage supplier rating and supplier scorecards Participates in company compliance initiatives, including compliance with ISO 13485:2016 and MDSAP Supports the execution of Supplier Quality Agreements by reviewing them for required language and liaising with supplier contacts. Reviews or assists in reviewing supplier change requests and supplier change notices for impact on Quality Management System Focus on continuous improvement of products and processes. Update procedures and policies as needed to maintain compliance and improvement. Develop and mentor staff through on-boarding, open communication, training and development opportunities and performance management processes; build and maintain employee morale and motivation; ensure the team is appropriately staffed with required competencies

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or Technical Field.

Relevant Work Experience
  • At least 4 years of experience working with QSR/GMP/ISO requirements or other regulated industries.

Additional

  • Experience analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions

  • Experience controlling and coordinating concurrent projects, competing priorities and critical deadlines.

  • Advanced level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using AVERAGE function, merging and centering cells, printing centered page and/or creating a pivot table).


  • Position requires travel up to 25% of the time for business purposes (within state, out of state and/or internationally).
