Wintrust is recruiting for a Credit Analyst to support our Business Banking teams. Working to support primarily C&I lending and some CRE lending applicable to Business Banking role, this position will be responsible for preparing credit proposals, formulating and recommending lending approval/denial decisions on business purpose loan requests. This position interacts with Business Banking lenders to provide assistance regarding underwriting and portfolio management activities.

Responsibilities:

• Underwrite Business loans for new requests and renewals with adherence to loan policy, guidelines and procedures


• Preparing company annual financial reviews and underwriting memos focusing on a company's leverage, key risk factors, sources of repayment, cash flow, and ability to service debt


• Preparation of Financial Spreads and covenant tracking as well as ACH portfolio oversight


• Preparation of CRE analysis to include review of loan structure, property analysis, market analysis, property cash flow to determine ability to service debt, covenant compliance, and collateral evaluation including evaluation of appraisal reports. Preparation of C&I analysis to include cash flow analysis, leverage analysis, collateral and borrowing base analysis, industry analysis, and working capital analysis.

• 0 - 2 years of relevant credit administration / commercial analysis experience


• Effective analytical and problem-solving skills to identify credit strengths and weaknesses and form conclusions and recommendations.


• Understanding of financial ratios, cash flow analysis, and GAAP and tax accounting in order to underwrite credit opportunities
