Job Description:

Bob Barker Company is a privately owned business dedicated to transforming criminal justice while honoring God in all we do.  Bob Barker Company operates Distribution Centers in Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina and Ogden, Utah, serving clients in the corrections industry.  

Duties & Responsibilities 

• Verify, identify, and inspect incoming products, referring to purchase orders and shipping documents.  


• Prepare receiving reports. Note and record shortages and damaged materials.  


• Determine if incoming materials require inspection or testing and maintain lot traceable documentation.  


• Use forklift or designated material handling equipment to transport materials to work or storage areas.  


• Enter inventory transactions (in or out) directly into computer system.  


• Monitor first in-first out control of inventory to production. Assemble orders for shipment (cross dock).  


• Select packaging or shipping containers for materials not packed. Specify types of crates or skids.  


• Use RF devices and print labels as necessary.  


• While performing the duties of the job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and the noise level is occasionally loud. 

Requirements

• Basic computer experience 


• Basic math, language and writing skills


• Experience in a Manufacturing or Distribution environment preferred 

Education 

• Forklift Certification (in house) 


• High School Diploma/GED/Certificate of Attendance 

Physical Requirements  

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel or crouch; and talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to walk, lift, and manipulate 100 lbs.   

Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.  

While performing the duties of the job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and the noise level is occasionally loud.
