As Purchasing Deputy Manager on our team, you will execute procurement activities at the direction of the Purchasing Director. The Purchasing Deputy Manager's responsibilities include developing purchasing strategies, maintaining positive relationships with suppliers, coordinating with internal teams regarding their supply needs, and overseeing the purchasing team in their daily activities. You should also be able to manage and optimize purchasing activities and processes and negotiate the best possible deals with suppliers.

Responsibilities
Develop and implement purchasing strategies.
Manage daily purchasing activities, supervise staff, and allocate tasks as needed.
Manage supplier relations and negotiate contracts, prices, timelines, etc.
Maintaining the supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation.
Coordinating with inventory control to determine and manage inventory needs.
Ensuring that all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications.
Track milestones and timelines across projects and institute necessary workflow, personnel and financial allocations; analyze and resolve issues that may jeopardize performance and/or affect ability to meet agreed upon deliverables.
Routine Suppliers (manufacturers) Visits & make sure all the suppliers meet QA's requirements
Attend trade shows to find substitutes with better quality and competitive price.
Preparing cost estimates and managing budgets.
Working to improve purchasing systems and processes.
Collaborate with marketing, quality control, warehouse, and other staff.
Complying with company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
Experience & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Four (4) years of progressive experience in a purchasing and/or procurement capacity
Experience in food industry purchasing, especially in bakery field, preferred
Mandarin-speaking a plus.
Other Skills & Abilities
Strong knowledge of purchasing and procurement principles
Working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP strongly preferred)
Good at math and statistics
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication abilities
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Attention to detail and ability to multitask and manage complex projects with time critical deadlines
Understanding of process management, process improvement, and data driving environment
