Deliver in-home, family centered, strength based, and child abuse prevention programs. Work within community resources in a systemic and collaborative approach.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible for timely, periodic submission of all required clearances and physicals.
Provide services to referred families including life skills, advocacy, parenting education, information, referrals and counseling.
Assess family functioning, plan goals and identify resources.
Involve family in planning and evaluating outcomes.
Work with County agency as a partner in planning and coordinating service.
Assess risk of child abuse and neglect and provide appropriate interventions with families.
Complete/submit accurate documentation/agency paperwork within required time frames.
Demonstrate knowledge of community resources by providing information and referrals.
Actively network in community to utilize local assets to strengthen families.
Availability to work evening/weekend hours up to three times per week.
Participate in emergency on-call system.
Prepare for and actively participate in supervision.
Participate in department, agency-wide and/or community meetings/committees.
Participate in individual, agency-wide and departmental training.
Perform other activities related to services and flexible to program changes.
Education/Experience Requirements:
BSW / related bachelors degree plus minimum three years experience
MSW or related Masters Degree
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Valid driver’s license from the state in which you reside in and proof of car insurance, daily access to vehicle.
Computer skills including use of internet, email, work processing and data input.
Knowledge of child abuse prevention and collaborative approaches.
Ability to use initiative, act independently and work under pressure.
Creative and positive approaches to problem solving.
Effective time management skills with ability to meet deadlines.
Training Requirements:
All new hires are required to go through mandated orientation.
Comply with Agency Annual Training requirements.
Work Environment and Primary Work Locations:
Community and/or providing in-home service 70%, in office 20% and attend community meetings and events 10%.
Physical Considerations:
Carrying required for transporting items to families such as diapers, food, etc.
Visiting families in their home may require stair climbing.
Supplies for visits require carrying, reaching within storage closet and occasional kneeling.
