Due to growth and transformation we, in Primary Storage, are looking to add to our team of Information Developers. We are looking for a proactive self-starter who can tackle multiple, challenging information development projects while delivering concise, accurate, well-written content. The ideal candidate would be an information developer who is willing to stretch themself, apply themself to projects that will take the team beyond the ordinary, towards the goal of cutting-edge content creation. We want a person who is not afraid to work with their teammates to reach for new heights in information content, presentation, and distribution.

 What you’ll be responsible for:

• Analyzing customer information requirements and product specifications to define a technical content strategy and plan


• Designing, developing, delivering, and maintaining DITA-based hardware and software product-related information – hard copy, web, and mobile - and online information (such as interactive demos and help systems), for a variety of audiences


• Installing, setting up, and testing HPE products to validate documentation, and provide feedback on ease of use and user interfaces to product development


• Taking ownership for and driving specific information development projects and initiatives


• Providing reviews, feedback, and editing on UI design, websites, and other customer-facing deliverables in coordination with the UX and product development teams


• Bringing creative ideas to the team that promote innovation and improved documentation quality

What you need to apply:

• BA or equivalent degree in English, Technical Communications, or a related field 


• At least four years’ experience as an Information Developer


• Significant and current experience with DITA-based technical documentation design and writing


• 3-4 current writing samples

You will ideally:

• Be experienced with DITA content management systems, (Ixiasoft CMS experience would be an advantage)


• Have a strong understanding of structured content and content reuse


• Be able to manage multiple concurrent projects while working independently and with others, including those from other cross-functional teams


• Be able to demonstrate an in-depth understanding of enterprise storage systems and concepts (a plus)


• Have experience or knowledge developing videos, chatbots, mobile documentation, or in-product documentation (a plus)
