The Senior Regional Leader, HDL must bring a high energy level and customer engagement to this role matching the company culture. 


RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Supervising and assigning of specific responsibilities to the operations personnel. This would include daily work assignments with the ability to follow-up and maintain performance of those individuals.

  • Accountable for the performance of home delivery and logistics vendors measured against key performance metrics in the areas of cost, service, and quality of delivery.

  • Execute regular on-site visits and file audits of operational processes and delivery quality throughout the store delivery and home delivery networks; conduct root-cause analysis on audit non-conformities; implement corrective-actions in order to insure site compliance to standards.

  • Validate and enforce adherence to all defined standard operating procedures; develop, recommend, and implement changes to existing procedures to insure continual improvement in the areas of cost, service, and quality.

  • Communicate new processes and procedures to service providers; provide /facilitate field training and support as needed.

  • Drive continual improvement initiatives through thorough root-cause analysis, identification of valid corrective-actions to prevent future failures, and insure any changes to work processes or standards are implemented accordingly.

  • Address and resolve escalated customer service issues in a timely and thorough manner; provide sufficient resolution such that issues are addressed without the need for further escalation within the organization.

  • Insure that store logistical needs are being met or exceeded as defined by field sales leaders and store management personnel.

  • Maintain inventory accuracy within the HDL network at or above acceptable tolerance limits.

  • Insure field furniture repair and rework processes are sufficient to support the designated inventory condition code for a particular item.

  • Authenticate any/all field inventory destroy & destruction certificates.

  • Assist in the research, recommendation, and selection of logistics service providers that support the company's mission of delivering 1st class service to our customers.

  • Partner with peers to identify and implement best practices across geographic regions

  • All other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS



  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, or related field and/or equivalent training and/or relevant experience is required.

  • 7+ years of Management in the Furniture Home Delivery/route delivery experience.

  • 5 �10 years work experience in transportation/logistics industry

  • Proven capabilities in managing outside service providers and 3rd Party Logistics providers.

  • Prefer experience working in a high-growth retail environment, preferably with specialized retailer or logistics service provider specializing in servicing the retail industry.

  • Travel requirements of up to 80%, primarily within an assigned geographic territory.

  • Ability to relocate is a plus.

  • Excellent ability of oral, written and listening skills.

  • Transportation/Fleet Service Home Delivery Management, which includes employee relations, performance management, hiring, training, and coaching.

  • Ability to read maps/control global positioning systems and follow oral and written instructions.

  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Must be able to work weekends and evenings (Tuesday � Saturday) and Monday deliveries when notified by the Leadership.

  • Process knowledge of business processes such as profit and loss, profit margins, accounting, and other related principles.

  • Relentless passion for providing class service to our sales organization and our customers.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent knowledge of PC applications.

  • Ability to work with minimal guidance or supervision in a time critical environment.

  • Possess in depth knowledge of local, state and federal contracting laws and regulations.

  • Strong written and oral skills and ability to interact with people from multi-functional and diverse backgrounds.

  • Computer literacy is a must. MS Word, Excel, and Outlook are used daily and extensively in this position.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS



  • Ability to consistently lift/move furniture, bedding and accessories in access of 100 pounds.
